Electrical Superintendent – Direct Placement

Location: San Antonio, TX

Salary: $160,000 - $210,000 per year (based on experience)

Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Position Overview:

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee ground-up and tenant finish electrical construction projects in the San Antonio region .

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with extensive field experience , capable of managing large-scale projects ($30M+ in value) and a workforce of 50+ electricians . This role requires a strong background in electrical construction , the ability to coordinate with multiple trades, and expertise in project scheduling, resource management, and on-site safety .

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all field trades on assigned electrical construction projects.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to complete a working estimate and material take-off .
• Plan and assign work for subordinate supervisors and lead electricians.
• Ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and manpower are available as needed.
• Establish work schedules and manpower loading charts using digital tools (computer, tablet, smartphone).
• Interface with General Contractor representatives to coordinate daily project schedules .
• Provide supervision and direction to foremen and crews, ensuring work progresses efficiently.
• Oversee and participate in the installation of electrical feeders, control systems, switchgear, circuit breakers, lighting, and related components .
• Monitor job site safety , conduct safety meetings, and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
• Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents.
• Ensure proper documentation and administrative tasks (e.g., daily reports, time sheets, safety logs) are completed accurately.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing electrical construction .
• Proven experience managing projects valued at $30M+ and leading teams of 50+ electricians .
• Current Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Required) .
• OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus).
• Experience managing ground-up electrical construction projects .
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices .
• Proficiency in project scheduling and workforce management .
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening .
• Physical ability to meet job demands , including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and pushing/pulling.
