Chick-fil-A Flatiron FSU - Director Position

Our Directors are responsible for leading areas of the business towards our goals while ensuring that we are excellent in executing daily operations, keeping team members accountable, and ensuring each guest receives great food served with great care. A Director's three main areas of focus are completing assigned managerial tasks, implementing systems and processes to help the restaurant grow, and coaching/developing Shift Leaders and team members. Director lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Director Responsibilities:

  • Protect the Chick-fil-A brand
  • Notify the Owner/Operator when there is a:
  • Safety issue with an employee or guest
  • Security issue with an employee or guest
  • Financial shortage or overage of $20+
  • Liability issue with an employee or guest
  • Corrective actions on a Priority 1 or 2A CARES complaint
  • Corrective actions on any Bell Tower alerts
  • Uphold Vision, Mission, Purpose, and Core Values
  • Complete daily Figure 8’s of the store
  • Train, develop, mentor, and coach TMs, CTs, ALs, and SLs
  • Show care for all coworkers
  • Attend all scheduled in-person meetings
  • Listen to concerns and resolve issues
  • Uphold all store policies, systems, procedures, and standards
  • Support Operations during peak periods, during under-staffed shifts, or as scheduled
  • Work on individual responsibilities during scheduled times
  • Complete any tasks/assignments provided by Owner/Operator in an agreed-upon timeframe
  • Ensure all tasks are completed by Shift Leaders (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)
  • Educate team members about store promotions and answer any questions they may have regarding promotions
  • Complete assigned daily checklists and ensure the team is completing their truly and accurately
  • Make sure that all disciplinary issues are documented
  • Including verbal conversations in the Daily Shift Summary
  • Be proactive and engaging in the recruiting process for the store
  • Identify future leaders
  • Ensure that proper staffing is being met throughout the day
  • Conduct reviews of Team Members and Shift Leaders semi-annually and propose raises when appropriate
  • Review all Ecosure audits, Health Department visits, Deloitte audits, and TrueView visits and ensure leaders are taking proper steps to make necessary corrections
  • Fill out monthly warehouse order based on store needs
  • Re-evaluate all checklists, systems, processes, and role clarity
  • Make recommendations when needed to keep ahead of our growing business

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • ServeSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective conflict management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence people effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when necessary
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to understand and evaluate the Profit, Labor and Food Cost Reports
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Open availability Monday - Saturday
  • Available on Sundays for facilities work and any other organizational needs
  • Ability to work 8 – 10 hours per day
  • 2 years of Chick-fil-A Leader Experience OR 4 years Management Experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at times
  • Stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Bend, twist, and utilize a ladder
  • Be physically active for long periods
  • Being outside in all-weather situations
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Be physically active for long periods of time without getting tired
