Overview:
A warm, welcoming family in Portland with two young boys (ages 5 and 2), two work-from-home dads, and a sweet family dog is seeking a full-time, live-out Housekeeper/Nanny. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, and enjoys both maintaining a clean, well-run home and supporting a young family. While the household has a full-time nanny, this role includes occasional childcare responsibilities—especially during coverage gaps or evenings—so comfort with young children is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily and deep cleaning of a large family home, about 6,000 sq ft
Handle all household laundry, including care for delicate fabrics
Organize and manage household inventory and supplies
Assist with meal prep and light family-style cooking
Collaborate with the family’s primary nanny and step in to support childcare as needed
Occasionally transport children (valid driver’s license and clean driving record required)
Care for family dog as needed (feeding, water, light walks)
Travel occasionally with the family to local and out-of-state destinations
Be proactive, flexible, and adaptable to changing daily needs
What the Family Is Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible, detail-oriented, and take pride in their work. They should be calm, warm, and adaptable with a positive attitude and good sense of humor. A team mindset is important, along with a willingness to grow with the family over time. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who sees this type of work as a profession and is committed to supporting a loving and busy household.
