**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated mason with a focus on block laying to join our team in Los Angeles County, CA. This is a full-time position with consistent work year-round. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and possesses a strong work ethic.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lay block, brick, and stone with precision and efficiency.
+ Use levels and other tools to ensure materials are plumb, level, and aligned.
+ Tie rebar and assist in reinforcing structures.
+ Build retaining walls and perform masonry forming.
+ Pour footings and assist in layout work.
+ Install veneer and decorative masonry finishes.
+ Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 2 years of masonry experience preferred.
+ Must have own hand tools.
+ Ability to work anywhere in Los Angeles County.
+ Eager to work, dependable, and have a positive attitude.
+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various outdoor conditions.
+ Reliable transportation to job sites.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with brick laying, block laying, stone masonry, and veneer.
+ Knowledge of concrete work.
+ OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools such as 2-foot and 4-foot levels, trowel, joiners, and wire reel.
+ Power tools are supplied by the company.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is outdoors and requires the ability to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. A professional appearance is expected, with attire suitable for construction work.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clarita, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.
