Your Role
Reporting to the Sea Logistics Drayage Supervisor you will play an essential role to success of Kuehne+Nagel Dray Logistics including dispatching and monitoring movement of containers for the customers. Ensuring smooth and constant information between all stakeholders. You will be in charge for the entire process from receiving until invoicing and closing.
Your Responsibilities
- You will assign, rate, and send delivery orders accurately to ensure the best possible service, while mitigating cost for
the company - Making sure when dispatching delivery orders are being dispatched by changing status to “CHI”, no errors
holding the delivery order to go over trucker's system missing “BL/BKG”, “rated”, - You have an understanding your assigned geographical market for ports and ramps
- Monitor shipments to ensure all status are completed timely, any afterhours/weekend delivery or challenges
must be informed to direct management. - Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to meet load expectations and communicate any shipment
updates. Emails needs to be answered within 1 hour of receipt, after first follow up a call must be made, Any
email from our Data Quality team must be reviewed by coordinator to ensure shipment is a go, follow up after
them or call trucker if necessary. - Document any service failures or exceptional events on the file, additional charges not billable to customer,
demurrage/rail storage request with responsible party - Address financial transactions with relevant parties by working in conjunction with the accounting department
and team management to assure payables are on time - Collect and organize data for reporting
- Seek constant self-development through Kuehne+Nagel Learning initiatives on operational systems, markets, policies, and behaviors
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in order to provide excellent customer service
- Ensure vendor invoices are received timely and complete
Your Skills and Experiences
- 1+ years' Industry experience
- 1+ years' leadership experience
- 1+ years' Sea Logistics experience
- You have a high level of knowledge in Logistics, Operations, and Import/Export regulation
- You have the ability to travel for business reasons
- You have the ability to work onsite 5 days per week
