Job Description

PRISM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant with an active CPA certification and a keen eye for detail. You'll be a vital contributor to our financial reporting process, overseeing key functions such as preparing journal entries, executing month-end and quarter-end closes, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post general ledger entries.
• Manage monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with inter-company accounting.
• Support general accounting activities (investments, fixed assets, etc.).
• Analyze general ledger variances.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Must be local to the DC Metro Area (DC, MD, VA) as this is 100% onsite in Bethesda, MD.
