Job Description

Title: Structural Civil Engineer

Location: Spring, TX (Onsite)

Job Requirements

Essential Functions:

Perform and complete detailed designs of civil/structural projects assigned utilizing CAD (3D CAD preferred).
Perform precise field data collection of dimensions, reference points, and existing installations to ensure accuracy during fabrication and construction.
Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure continuity in deliverables.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations staff on design development and installation details.
Have strong background in piping systems, drafting standards, and relevant codes.
Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.
Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.
Ensure all drawings are prepared using EMPCo standards for completeness, and overall quality, and follow document control procedures
Assist with field monitoring and coordination of projects during construction.

Work Experience

Requirements:

Successful completion of Design/Drafting curriculum from an accredited institution (Preferred).
Preferred PE Certification of Texas State
5-10 years of design/drafting experience in the civil/structural discipline.
Working experience with 3D CAD and Laser Scanning processing to create detailed C/S designs.
Able to correlate survey data and spatial consistency and incorporate in design drawings.
Field / Walk-down and data gathering/measurement experience.
Possesses a basic understanding of EMPCo Drafting Standards and Specifications which apply to his/her for assigned project
Aptitude for understanding technical & construction terminology
Current TWIC Card needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
Team Player and willing to assist with helping other staff.
Attention to detail.
