Rooftop Chimney Sweeps is seeking experienced masons who want to apply their craft in a specialized trade with high growth potential. In this role, you’ll use your masonry skills to build, repair, and restore chimneys and fireplaces while learning additional high-demand skills such as installing flue liners, wood stoves, and advanced chimney systems.
You’ll work alongside experienced chimney technicians to master both the structural and functional aspects of chimney construction, from brick-and-mortar rebuilds to code-compliant stove installations.
Rebuild and repair chimneys, fireboxes, and other masonry structures.
Install stainless steel flue liners and wood-burning stoves to manufacturer specs and local codes.
Perform tuckpointing, crown repairs, and other masonry restoration work.
Maintain a safe and clean job site.
Interact professionally with customers, explaining work performed and answering questions.
Participate in ongoing training to expand skills into all areas of chimney construction and installation.
Masonry experience required (brick, block, and stone work).
Knowledge of masonry tools, techniques, and safety practices.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 60 lbs., work at heights, and in confined spaces.
Willingness to learn specialized chimney and stove installation techniques.
Experience with chimney or fireplace masonry.
Knowledge of building codes related to fireplaces and chimneys.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
